I GOTTA HAVE FAITH...

Here’s our once in a lifetime opportunity to purify ourselves from all the worldly sins we have ever committed and ensure a place in heaven by embracing a religion at last. And surprise surprise, a recent study showed that scholars have found new evidence that clearly implicates traces of a great religion called "Islam" in our genes. I guess the Nobel Prize Committee should seriously consider nominating them for the next Nobel Prize for Medicine.

EVERYBODY LET’S ROCK...

And then recently a great rock band of ours rocked the nation with the shocking news of taking our national pride to rock bottom while performing rock-steadily on hostile territory. I mean this really shook our rock-hard self conviction. And everyone who is accusing them of committing treason, I say we should give them a chance too - to get a life, I mean.

All’s not well in our dear city of lights, as everyone from our dear newspaper editor to our dear economists to our dear uncle Cowasjee so diligently shed light on. Why not I say? A Big Mac drenched in ketchup tastes absolutely beautiful as it would do in any other megapolitan around the world. And colonel’s drumsticks in cantonment areas are as delightful as a multiple US visa sitting on little green passports.

But the real issue seems to be the beautifully dainty female arms and equally awe-inspiring long black hair that have attracted many a not-so-secret admirer whose ways of admiration may not be perfect, but hey, who said we lived in Jeddah? Surely a needle-prick and a pair of scissors reminds one of a surgeon who needs psychological help. But then whoever said that these people should consult a psychologist should have his head examined.

And finally sports where it proves that we’re a nation that performs best undisciplined. I mean give me a break, but we’d rather be happy with our cricket team winning undisciplined and corrupted than by clean cut mediocres. As the old adage goes, what you don’t know can’t possibly hurt you, right?
